the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims,it seems that the sumbich has caught himself up in another irony. Ted Kennedy said, "President Bush's veto will be one of the most shameful acts of his presidency. Unless Congress overrides the veto, it will go down in history as a flagrant insult to the rule of law and a serious stain on the good name of America in the eyes of the world."
Which I'd be inclined to agree with, partly, six years ago or more. Now I think this is just a confirmation of all the crap the world thought about the government in the first place. Here's to hoping the world's smart enough to know not a single intelligent person supports this veto of similar actions from the administration. Not a single one. In fact, if you're thinking you disagree with me while reading this, you can probably go ahead and assume you're unintelligent.

I'd like to say that, with all the recent hub-bub and the obvious inhumane nature of waterboarding, Congress would definitely veto. However, I've thought the same at least three times (that I can think of off the top of my head) in the past seven years.
We can only hope.
